While a lot of questions have been regarding mostly our own safety, I am now concern about whether my parents, and siblings can catch anything given how we share bathroom utilities, food and etc.

I think here's a list along with any additional risks/diseases:
hepatitis B
genital herpes (on my mouth)
gonnorhea
chlamydia
syphillis
mononucleosis
Meningitis

In general, being irresponsible, I briefly go over what has happened the last few while and I'm hoping I didn't put my parents at risk for anything. It's to note that I haven't been tested since these incidents.

1) In Dec 2006, hand job and kissing all over the face (but not lips) from dancer. Also kissing over face and a bit on lips from a dancer reputed to be pretty safe and health conscious.

2) At a private dancer's incall, condom blow job and I kiss/lick dancer all over her body (not rimming or DATY or lips, but a few places randomly over the budy). Also finger dancer anally and vaginally, before masturbating with the same hand. Also placed shaft in between her breasts.

Sorry in hand if this sounds graphic. Right now, after a long time, I realize I shouldn't be only concern about myself but also my family too for anything that might have been exposed to. Please help.

I know HN is the official source here but there's a few basic facts that I thought I'd point out, don't consider it medical advice, just simple information.

If you had a meningitis infection, trust me, you'd know. It's also NOT something you catch from sex, you either catch it or you don't. Bacterial meningitis will kill you rather quickly so you wouldn't be writing this if you had it.

Genital herpes is, by definition, not on your mouth. That's like saying I have a broken toe on my hand. Doesn't work that way. If you mean type II herpes, and you have caught it, ask your doctor about the various daily acyclovir medicines available to prevent outbreaks and transmission. If you mean Type I herpes on the mouth, last time I checked the statistics, I believe it was 70% of the population has that.

Hep B is oral/fecal transmission. Wash your hands! There's also a vaccine available, ask your doctor about it. Enough said?

For the others, talk to your doctor about getting tested.

No, Hep A is oral/fecal. Hep B, C and the others are transmitted by sex, blood, needle sharing, etc.

For the original poster, GET TESTED and put your mind at ease.

Hi Inneedofhelp

The best recommendation I can make to you is that you come to one of our clinics and we can do all the testing for you. Remember it is confidential and free and you don’t even need to use your real name. It takes time for testing to be accurate but enough time has passed since December 2006, so any tests we take would be accurate.

Most of the infections that you listed are sexually transmitted and as that name suggests do not spread through casual contact (i.e.family) but rather from sexual contact.

It is common for us to see people who feel really bad about themselves when something has happened. A negative test result can help relieve this feeling. Sometimes this does not help and a person can still feel bad about the situation. As this is a common situation we asked Dr David McKenzie to write an article about this. The main thing the article discusses is feeling guilty when a steady partner is involved. The information is relevant for feeling guilty in general. Here is a link to it.
