Fellas,

I have read posts that some people go down on an SP. As a regular pooner in Asia, that practice is frown upon but it seems like a lot of people do it. Perhaps in the heat of the moment w/ a really hot SP, you just don't care. What's your take? Is there a "safer" way to do it? Any feedback is appreciated.

In my own imagination!!
I love it however it is a case by case basis...

...for me. Usually if the girl is really nice, clean and into it I will do it. If you see a an sp remember if you want her to respond then be well showerd and with good hygene(spelling).

Hi DirkDiggler919

We have done a few threads where we have discussed the risks related to oral sex ( aka going down on a SP, DATY and cunnilingus).

https://perb.cc/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=56982

https://perb.cc/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=41215

https://perb.cc/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=55826

Here is a link to a detailed article by the Public Health agency of Canada. It is titled “Oral sex and the risk of HIV transmission. Much of the article is about men who have sex with men and BBBJ, but they have also provided some information on DATY.

http://www.phac-aspc.gc.ca/publicat/epiu-aepi/epi_update_may_04/13_e.html

To make DATY safer you can use a barrier such as a dental dam, a cut open latex glove/condom and saran wrap. We have Dental dams available at our Bute street clinic in Vancouver.

I have included some information from the www.sexualityandu.ca group about what they say about the use of Saran wrap instead of a dental dam.

“Some people also use non-microwaveable plastic wrap (Saran Wrap®) as dental dams. This has not been studied in depth yet, but there is evidence that non-microwaveable plastic wrap can stop virus-sized particles, which could mean it can prevent STIs. Until this has been studied in more detail, sticking with latex dams or condoms (or even a cut-open latex glove) is probably your safest bet. However, plastic wrap is certainly better than nothing, as it does provide at least some level of protection against STIs.”

Good oral health may be another way to reduce the risk of getting HIV through oral sex.

Does this answer your question?

I have used them. Awkward to use as saliva (the client's) drip all over the
place. Also clients don't consider it to be 'daty' if a dental dam is used. I
pretty much doubt if any provider use them consistently with much
enthusiasm from the client's part.

And I doubt very much the providers get tested for HIV. If any claim they do, care to prove it? :)
WHAT are you talking about, Goomba?  And you are privvy to this information...how? Taking an uneducated guess? Talking s**t really is your main hobby here isn't it? IMO You're just bad news and bad vibes here.

YES, I get tested for HIV as I'm sure any other sane and responsible sp does. I don't get tested to make someone else happy or to be able to prove I did... I get tested because I care about my health. So.. more importantly: WHO are YOU? and WHY would I care to prove anything to YOU?

Same goes for all pooners who should also get tested. Takes two tango (in our case, multiply that a few times!). We are all responsible for ourselves and our actions and also need to act responsibly when it comes to ours and others health. Period. :D

DATY is an HIV risk

It makes sense for everyone who is sexually active, whether an SP or not, whether a pooner or not, to get tested regularly for HIV.
As for that comment buddy, it is very offensive and inflammatory, and does nothing to add to this important thread.
Sex is a risk anytime, anywhere, for ALL involved.
