I need to get this off my chest.

Ladies, why do you insist on desecrating your beautiful bodies?

I don't know how many times I've been looking at a beautiful girl only to come across some tacky piece of "art" that only serves to subtract from her beauty.

Skin is gorgeous.

Tattoos are the most inane accessory ever. How did they ever become so trendy?

I don't know.......I've been with several that have very nice ink, and a couple that really spend alot of money and time getting ART on their bodies. Nicely done work can accentuate a beautiful body.

Art and beauty are in the eye of the beholder. I have a tattoo on my leg and have gotten numerous comments positive comments on it.
Some like tattoos, some don't. I suppose the women could ask, "Men, why do you ruin your hair by growing it into a mullet, or a crew cut, or by shaving it bald?" Thats the beauty of being part of a planet with over 6,678,399,284.00 http://www.netlingo.com/more/poptick.html... You will find a wide variety of tastes and preferences.

tats...mmm..sexy

i for one really think tats on a woman are sexy. lower back art captures my attention instantly.

i have been with several ladies who have made a game of me finding the various tats located on their bodies and the rewards they gave for finding them were like going to heaven but skipping the dying part.

i agree with the sentiment above...beauty is in the eye of the beholder...but for me body art is a turn on.

Definitely check out http://burningangel.com/ some very tasteful work and extreme work on there.

I'd have to say out of everyone whose work I've seen this year only Lizzie/Anya and love...alex had truly tasteful work. Lizzie definitely had the best design ideas (I think she'd be a great graphic designer).

I have 3 which I got mainly for the experience of it. They are great conversation starters especially if the person you are with can't figure out what they are. IMO they aren't there to be particularly pleasing, rather they had a personal meaning for me at the time. Mostly I don't notice them now.

One difference between a hairstyle and a tattoo is permanence. I shaved my head and grew a goatee. Once. Now there is no sign of my ever having done that. Hair styles, clothing styles, makeup and jewelery styles come and go. What was cute or appropriate when you were twenty is often less so when you are sixty. Many tattoos are pleasing to the eye, cute, erotic, or wonderful conversation pieces. Clothing and hair styles can make similar statements. However, I wouldn't want to staple that hat to my head forever, or wear the same pair of fetching acid wash jeans or clam diggers into eternity. Do you really want the grandkids asking, "grandma, who's Sponge Bob Square Pants?" or worse, "Who's Arrowsmith?" or "why does your thigh say 'Steve Forever' when Grandpa's name is Bob?" or "why do you have a swear word written on you when you tell me not to write on my skin?" It's bad enough trying to take an old sailor seriously while looking at the topless hula girl on his forearm, let alone seeing an embarassing tattoo on your gramma!

That having been said, for those that already have tattoos, "to each his own." There are many fine, attractive, sexy tattoos out there, and it's your body. However, to those that do not yet have tattoos and are contemplating one, why not consider a temporary tattoo? You can still get the aesthetic benefits, and even get a different tattoo on the same spot later? :) (I've considered this myself, but haven't seriously looked into it yet)

I have tree tats, all from my army days, none can be seen with Ts on. My grandkids love them and have great fun trying to wash them off. Tattoos have been around for thousands of years in many cultures. Some for ID some for art others for religion. If you have a good relationship with your kids and grandkids, its just another topic of conversation which makes you closer, nothing more nothing less.

I like my tattoos and I am actually in the process of having one designed for me and getting it over the winter. It's a large piece. I do draw and paint etc, so I am also VERY picky about the art and it took me a while to find one that I liked. She's priced higer than most, but well worth it. I'm not looking forward to 7 hours in the chair though.

As for why, a tattoo is forever and my career as an SP isn't. I'm not going to put off something becuase it may turn someone off. I put it off long enough.

If someone doesn't like it, they can see someone else. I am who I am.

I think that tattoos on a woman are hot if it's good quality ink......I like the ones that hold significance for the person not just a bunch of flames and skulls...(although they look good) I myself have 3 and probably will add to the collection:)

I'm so starry-eyed every time I see you, I don't even notice them!! ;)

Seriously, your tattoos are relatively small and discreet, so they're OK to me. Besides, it's your body to decorate as you wish, not mine. Anyway, it's the huge tattoos that cover large areas (like the entire back) that, to me, diminish the attractiveness of their owners.

Yes, but are you the same person forever? I have changed my character, opinions, politics, friends, outlook, jobs, etc etc over and over. Can you honestly say you think the same about something when you are 15 as when you are 20, or 30, or 50, or 70? We all change and evolve (hopefully) and doing ANYTHING permanent when you are really young says more about how you considering the possibility you may change, which is not a good thing. If I had a kid I'd recommend studying plastic surgery because there is going to be HUGE money in tat removal in the next few decades.

I can appreciate tats as art, and there are some really nice ones. Back in the early 80's they used to be sexy because they were rare, small and discreet and usually could only been seen during intimate encounters. Now finding a woman with no tats has become uber sexy. Just the fact that she has no tats gives the whole experience a more innocent, untouched aspect.

I can't believe all the tatts out there......especially on the Big Island in Hawaii, everyone seemed to sport one, lots of sleeves, even chics! Tattoo shops on every street. I notice more shops here too, on Vancouver Island.

I have 2 completely original & twisted humour tatts.....trying to decide on my next one.....I want skulls LOL :p bcse most girls are the flower/butterfly type & the artist does the most freaky eyeballs I've ever seen....really cool work!

It is a personal preference for everyone, I find them super sexy.

I personally don't care for tattoos and those who cover every inch of their bodies with them.
A couple of small subtle ones on a chick are OK. Anything more than that is too "crack whore" for my liking.
