The only downside to using a glove is that sensation would be reducedHealth Nurse said:Hi Octopus
There are sprays available through the drug stores that are supposed to provide a good barrier. The only concern I would have is how the barrier would hold up against the friction and moisture.
Using a glove would probably provide better protection.

Are any micro-thin gloves available in drug stores besides the usual latex gloves ?
I heard that there are barrier creams that are not easily washed away and maintain protection for a few hours. Do you know of any such barrier sprays available through drug stores ?
If you get info from the manufacturers, it may be a good idea to publish it here.Health Nurse said:The suggestion Creole Lady Marmalade made of using a finger cot is a good idea and you could also use a condom on your finger if you were concerned.
I have had a few questions regarding the barrier sprays/spray on bandage, I have contacted the manufactures in Canada and they are going to get back to me next week in regard to their product.
