deep-throat BBBJ v shallow BBBJ

I love the BBBJ! It is absolutely my favorite activity. When I first started in this hobby (as a pooner), I was very careful. I didn't engage in any kissing, or any activity in which my bare penis touched the provider. As time went on, I started seeing the more GFE-type providers. Many of these providers would engage in kissing, but would still use a condom for BJs and FS.

Later on, through the review boards, I discovered the providers who would do the BBBJ. Man, I was in heaven! At first I was a little scared to be getting the BBBJ, but the anticipation and shear pleasure overrode that fear. Plus, there were so many providers giving the service that I figured there must be very little risk.

However, after reading through this board tonight, I have discovered that receiving BBBJs appears to have a fairly high risk of transmission of bacterial type infections. It also got me thinking that I should go get tested as my penis has been feeling a little funny lately. Not really painful, but something doesn't seem quite right.

When I think back to when this feeling started, it appears to have begun after I saw a deep-throat BBBJ provider. I distinctly remember (very pleasant memories, mind you) my penis rubbing the top of her mouth and the back of her throat. This has got me to thinking that DT BBBJs may be more risky than BBBJs where just the head of the penis is focused on.

Does this seem logical? Wouldn't the bacteria most likely be located in the throat? If a provider just concentrates on the head and doesn't go too deep, then it seems that only the SP's lips and the pooner's penis would come into contact and would therefore decrease the infection risk. This would likely decrease infection risk, no? I don't know, when it comes to BBBJs, I can't think straight, so you might just want to write this off as the rantings of a crazy man. :)

As I mentioned earlier, my penis has been feeling funny lately. It basically feels like my urethra near the tip of my penis is not as elastic as it used to be. It feels a little stiff sometimes. After reading this board, I realize that I need to get tested and will call to schedule an appointment tomorrow.

Anyways, I just want to thank this board for educating me on the true risks of the BBBJ. I had mistakenly assumed they were harmless given the relatively large number of providers offering them. Keep up the good work!

Edit: I want to add one other thing: I believe that condoms are very safe. I have probably been with over 100 providers (~20/year for 5 years) and have never caught anything. I was tested last year for pretty much everything and nothing came up positive. Of course, I may have something now, but that would be from a BBBJ where no condom was used. I will update this thread after I get the results of my tests back.

I'm not a doctor, but I understand that bacterial infections like gonorrhea, for example, can be transmitted from penis-to-mouth and vice-versa; oral gonorrhea generally afflicts the throat from what I have been told.

Let us know how it goes.

Good luck..hope it's not anything bad

I agree w/ the person who replied...lips and mouth can contain infectious diseases also..not necessarily the throat. But i guess the throat can not be seen by the naked eye but lips and mouth ones sometimes are visible

Pls correct me if i'm wrong

Hi All

Good question does a deep throat BBBJ offer more risk than a shallow BBBJ. I believe that this is something that has not been studied as it is a question we do not ask. Generally we just ask what type of sex have you been having e.g. oral, anal, rectal etc… and did you use a condom/barrier.

I personally don’t think it would make much of a difference. The most common infections we see passed to the man when he is receiving oral sex are gonorrhea, herpes and syphilis. Herpes and syphilis are caused by lesions. Herpes lesions are most commonly near the lips and syphilis lesions can appear anywhere inside the mouth. This would mean that it would not matter if it was a deep or shallow BBBJ just that you come in contact with an infectious lesion.

It is great that you are going for a test and I hope that everything is ok. I would also recommend getting the hepatitis B vaccine as well.

This is the link to the “What are the risks related to oral sex?” thread.

test results

I got my test results back and all clear! No herpes (oral or genital), AIDS, syphillis, gonorrea, or chlamydia. I think my penis just felt funny because I was paranoid.

I have to wonder about the reliability of the herpes test though. When I called for my herpes test, the person on the other end of the line said that something like 90% of people have oral herpes. Like I said in a previous post, I have had sex with over 100 providers. I would estimate that I have kissed over 30% of those providers on the lips. By kissing that many people in a high-risk group it would seem almost impossible that I have not been exposed to oral herpes.

I mentioned in my previous post that I have never caught anything from a provider. It's funny, but the sex experiences with the worst consequences in my life have been with non-providers. A few weeks after I broke up with one girl that I had been banging for a while, she called me up to tell me she was pregnant. She told me the fetus was mine. I went over to talk to her and ended up banging her (with no condom). Through that single bang, she gave me crabs and gonorrhea (thank God everything she gave me was easily curable). When the baby was born, everyone got blood tests and the baby turned out to be someone elses. What a bitch.

Another girl I had a one-night stand with. I wore a condom, but later had bumps on the base of my penis. I'm not sure what it was (allergic reaction to condom? genital warts?), but it eventually went away and hasn't come back in the ten years since.

At any rate, it is amazing that my ~100 sexual experiences with hookers have been much better than my relatively few sexual experiences in "real life." With the advent of the BBBJ (and especially the BBBJTC), hooker sex totally blows away any sexual experiences I have had since high school with virtually no adverse consequences so far.

I think I will continue receiving the BBBJs. They just feel too awesome for me to stop with them. I actually had a great BBBJTC tonight to celebrate being STD free. It was magnificent and an experience I know that I will never forget. I realize that there is some STD risk with the BBBJ, but I don't believe there is much risk and they just feel too fucking good to quit them.

As an aside, I've read some posts here with questions about the "swab" test for chlamydia/gonorrhea. At the clinic I went to, they just had me pee in a cup, so no swab had to go in or near my penis. The nurse who gave me the test said they usually only do the swab if you have discharge. With the swab test, results come back the same day whereas results from the urine test take a week or so.
