Going to Boston are Marty Reasoner, Yan Stastny (going back to B-town) and a 2nd rounder.
Now allow me to settle into my GM armchair for a moment.
I like the deal.
Reasoner was an oft-injured passenger so no loss there. He's a holdover from the Doug Weight trade, so it's like a protracted Samsonov-Weight swap.
Yan Stastny has potential, but the Oilers are already loaded with prospects. It could be an ass-biter down the road if he has the same HOF career as his old man.
There is a chance that Samsonov could walk away at the end of the season, so he could end up as a rental like Roloson. Boston dumped him because the Bruins weren't able to re-sign him.
