Why does Stony Plain Road become 104 Ave?

Why does 75 St turn into 66 St south of the Whitemud?

Why does 114 St south of the U of A turn into 113 St?

Why does Fox Drive turns into Belgravia Rd turns into 71 Ave?

Why does 124 St turns into Jasper Ave turns into 82 St?

Why does Sherwood Park Freeway turns into Whyte Ave turns into University Ave turns into Groat Road turns into St. Albert Trail?

Why does 97 Ave east from downtown turns into 98 Ave turns into Terrace Road turns into 101 Ave?

What happens to Highway 2 between the Whitemud @ Anthony Henday and St. Albert Trail @ Yellowhead? If you didn't have a map, you'll get lost.

Whose bright idea was it to build the confusing clusterfuck of roads and bridges at 99 St, Connors Road and 97/98 Ave SE of downtown?

Why isn't there better roads and bridges connecting Gateway/Calgary Trail to downtown?

and you forgot the whole clusterfuck that is known as millwoods.

Ive always thought that edmonton was fucked up because of the river, but looking at your list, there's not many of those that the river impacts.

I have noticed that north to south in Edmonton is fucked. However, east to west is not too bad.

And good gawd, somebody needs to nuke that hole south edmonton common gong show!

South Edmonton Common is an abomination.

Another is that GM car dealership hogging up an entire 3 blocks along Whyte Ave. It's a blight on Old Strathcona - I wish they'd move.

Better than Vancouver

OK, the naming of the roads is a little abnormal. Who cares if you know where you are going. At least you don't have to drive an hour and a half in rush hour to go 20 miles like you do in Vancouver.

True, but with the metro population at 1 million and growing rapidly, the traffic is going to get as bad as the Lower Mainland.

You think it's screwy in Edmonton. Try Winnipeg. There is one street here that changes names 5 times. It starts out in the south as Dakota, then becomes Osborne, then Balmoral, then Salter and lastly Isabel without you getting off it once.
Actually, it's 6 names - you forgot Memorial. From south to north, it's Dakota, Osborne, Memorial, Balmoral, Isabel and Salter.

Try Medicine Hat...1/4 of the people live in an area where all the streets start with "Ross"...."Ross Glen" .."ross Haven"..."Rossmere" ..."Rossland" .. Then they made "East Glen"..which is north of Ross Glen!!! What a nightmare to find your way in!!!
