Wow!!!! Kurt Schilling has done a wonderful pitching job.

Only bad news though is that the pitching staff is weaker this year than last year. But the BoSox still has that same Spirit.

I've lived in Vancouver for 4 years now and noticed so many Boston Red sox basecaps. I've never seen this before in any Canadian cities ( I lived in 4 cities, including here). I think I know why.

It's the Spirit, the heart, the "never give up attitude" no matter how many times you lose. It's the "small guys" winning over the big guys, but not in a snobby or arrogant way.
I see that in BC, it's friendlier, down to earth, even the drivers let you cross the street, much more so than Toronto.
Believe me I've lived in Toronto for mor than 15 years

I love BC!!!!!!!!

Imagine how much better they would be if Billy Beane had not backed out of his commitment to GM there. The guy (Is it Theo?) you got still brought in the rings, but if Beane had the boston/ny budget Oakland would win it all every year.

Pick up a movie by the name of Fever Pitch. If you're a BoSox fan you'll appreciate it.
I'm the last guy to recommend a romantic comedy, but I was laughin' all the way through this flik. Watch it with your girl. ;)

fuzzyknuckles,

Is it worth buying or is it a rental? I liked Hitch because it was funny and NOT a chick flick.

I never buy movies. I saw Hitch and actually though it was a chick flik. Asked my SO her opinion, and she thinks Hitch and Fever Pitch are very similar. Both very funny. And both are stomach-able enough for guys to enjoy. I was surprised by Fever Pitch. Maybe because I can relate to the sports addict. :D

fuzzyknuckles,

I clicked on the link you provided and seen the picture stills.
I was wondering why Drew Barrymoore was on the field last year kissing that guy. I had no idea that they were being filmed for a movie.

Thanks for the info, now I'm looking forward to buying it.

SF Mike,

Yeah imagine what money can do for the team, better pitchers and hitters.
Sometimes the end result: World Series champs (New York Yankees)
I'm wondering how'll Patriots do this year?

i'd hardly call the red sox "small guys". sure they don't have the payroll of the yankees, but last time i checked their payroll was pretty damn high as well.
