I've been plagued with a pain in the muscle that runs alongside the shoulder blades. Usually the left but the right is also affected. This condition has been around for a year with the last week 1/2 having to take 5-6 days off because the pain/discomfort has been unbearable. I tried, a couple of times, having a friend to knead the tension and knots out, but the day after the pain was excrutiating that it brought me to tears when barely touched.

So I would like to know if anyone here can recommend a reputable male certified massage therapist. Preferably in Downtown. Why should they be male you ask? I can handle a little more pressure, guys are generally stronger.

Also, what am I looking at cost-wise? I've only had a professional massage twice (one after carrying an 80lb pack for 4hours the day before 1996, the second, heavenly, but was paid for by someone else) in my life I don't know what to expect. Any places/people I should avoid?

Pain problem

Hi Stephanie,
Just wondered if you have given accupuncture any consideration?

I suffer with ongoing arthritis and accupuncture has helped me
tremendously!

Maybe give that a try.
