Welcome to sunny Edmonton.
Have a great race, and if you happen to spend some time with our ladies, treat them well, and they'll treat you well in return!
There are some great ladies to see, just check the Edmonton Reviews section.
It might be wise to book ahead.

And to all the Edmonton guys, don't get too frustrated when your favourites are all booked up. Remember what you learned in kindergarden, it's good to share ;)

These car races are supposed to be good places to pick up chicks. :)
I don't like car racing. Nothing really against it, it's just not my flavour of entertainment.

So what could be my reason for having tickets? :D

See you in the paddock!

Um...
where the fuck is the track? In the middle of a farmers field? I saw the qualifying on t.v. earlier and theres nothing around but miles of field. :confused:
IDK, most GPs are through the actual city they're being held in.
Or maybe I'm just retarded. :eek:

random notes on the CART race:

not uncommon to use airports for tracks - Cleveland's very successful race has been there for years;

lousy weather has not helped on the hotties front, but even Friday, mediocre pickings at best;

lousy infrastructure ain't helping either; pedestrian walkways way to crowded; mud today a disgrace (big valley jamboree figured out years ago that you just put down some straw and sand and viola, no prob); hardly anyplace to sit down in a comfortable chair ($220 for a Gold seat, plus I can't remember what for a paddock pass, and my major thought so far is my back is killing me); jumbotrons not very jumbo, and not enough...

all that said, if Trans-Am today any hint of things to come, Toyota and CART races sunday will be great!

All the above being said, I walked back and forth a number of times from my seats at turn one where most of the muddy was, past the 'beach' and down towards the displays and never saw or heard one person complaining about the mud. Yes it was a pain but this is Edmonton, a city of hardy souls and a sense of community. This is the inaugural race, I'm sure prep for the 2nd will take into consideration dealing with the potential for mud in advance.

Set a record

Well I was there for Friday and Saturday, doing my bit as a volunteer for this event and I was talking to Greg Mcdonald the event Boss and we set a Champ Car Record for Friday's attendance of 57,000 fan for the one day, also hear Paul Tracy was surprized of the crowd on friday, he said " wow look at the people, noone comes on the Friday". So I think even with the shitty weather on Saturday this race will be here for a bit longer then three years. I'm buying tickets next year. Hope everyone enjoys the clear skies today.

Overall attendance was third in the Champ Car series history not bad for having it in the farmers field, lol

The Red Bull Tent was the place for the hotties, lots of eye candy
