My dudes, we get a fair bit of sp's just passing through setting up in hotels or motels, I've been to some motels where you can drive right up and go to the room #, I just have a problem walking into and through a staffed lobby, now this may be a stupid question but I just want to know the protocol on that? Walking into and past a lobby? What do you do? Just say nothing and walk past? What do you say if they ask you anything? Or is that something you just don't do?

Just walk past and go to the room number. If they ask, just say your friend is expecting you and thank them for checking on the security:) if they persist ask them to call the room number, don’t give her name.

I'll echo, kamivix -- just walk in like you belong there and know where you're going. Especially in this town, it's highly doubtful any front desk staff will say anything.

In Your Wildest Dreams!
I have never had an issue with a hotel except once: I was on my way to Nanaimo & got an inquiry that said "Hi Erica I read on PERB that you will be in Nanaimo this weekend! Can I ask where you will be offering in call when you get here?" I respond with "I am staying at the 'XYZ hotel' on '123 Street'!" (but actual hotel & street, obv) The reply? "Thanks for this
I will be sure to forward this convo as well as all your advertising pictures that show your face to the front desk staff there". Whoops! Ended up being more like a favour: I upgraded to a MUCH nicer hotel with a hell of a view!

Everywhere in BC
just walk in like you belong there
Good advice, always walk with confidence, but needs a bit of elaboration.

Consider the hotel you/they are staying in. (Since this is a Kamloops thread) If you're going to the Sandman Signature Hotel downtown, don't dress like a slob wearing a tattered work hoodie and ratty jeans. Clean up and wear decent casual clothes like you sprung out of a catalog. Obviously it bodes for a positive first impression and experience for the lady you're going to meet, but at least you're not going to get crooked eyes from the lobby employee wondering what you're really doing in their "posh" hotel. ....but if it's a Travelodge or the Lamplighter in Valleyview, no one is really going to care who you are and what you look like. The lobby employee in those places obviously know 'what's going on' in their room, and have de-sensitized themselves to it. Late at night, they just sit around and watch TV anyways.

I’ve stayed at both hotels. I’m not trying to disagree but the Valleyview Hotels that know what’s going on do not approve or appreciate it, whereas the Sandman was the most comfortable, for my guests and myself, although an elevator key is required to access the floors... in which case I would call the front desk, when the guest texted his arrival, and let them know my friend “sonso” was here and to give them a key

When I check in I always ask for 2 key cards. I stay at a nice hotel (monthly) where they know me and occasionally I have a work companion staying at the same hotel, so discression on both fronts is important.

If I'm having a lady visit I do one of a few things....

Strategically stash a card somewhere inconspicuous then give instructions on where to find it

Leave a card in an envelope at the front desk with her name on it

Go down and meet the lady, give her the key card then have her come up a couple minutes later.

These options have worked well for receiving ladies for an outcall.
