I booked a private course with Derek for last Friday. I choose private mainly because I need to be a little extra discrete, and partly because I have had some experience in photography.

Derek usd the same outline as his regular course with three hours discussion in the AM, and then about 4 hours with two lovely ladies in the PM. He took me through many different scenarios of light, set and backdrops, and after we were done I had shot just over 200 images. Certainly not all are great, but there are a few I am proud of.

The private course is a bit pricy, but I would say his public course is a real bargain,if you are thinking about it. My $0.02 worth.

Interesting!?!?!

Does VD have a web site to advertise with? How much is the course. Public one is fine with me.

I just bought a digi cam and have renewed interest in figuring all this stuff out. I can teach myself, but courses speed things up.

PS: whether public or private if the course has anything to do with hookers, etc..... I'm not interested. I want a "G" rated get down to the nuts and bolts of how a camera and light are applied to each other.
