JUST CAUGHT THIS GUY ... 'MIKE' ... TAKING PICTURES OF OUR SESSION. He had his phone propped up against his wallet and I thought it was static on my stereo until after (unfortunately) the session when he went into the washroom and I had a look at his phone and it was the camera just taking a steady stream on pics. He would not show me his phone ...

Isn't that just lovely, what a POS. Thought the name and number sounded familiar, has been a repeat client of mine :( Now I am wondering if there is video or pictures of our sessions together out there. Just shows you can never me to careful. Have to say if I found a clients phone on and taking video or pics first stop would be to drop it in the toilet by mistake. Now I will be aware of any clients leaving their cell phone in view and have a small towel handy to cover it just incase. Sorry to hear about your incident Jewel and hope you are doing ok, call if you ever need anything and stay safe.

Ya it was really upsetting wondering what the hell he intended on doing with the pictures but seriously, he's in all of them except the ones when he went into the bathroom and I walked over to the table where the phone was propped up against his wallet and I was investigating to find out what the noise was. What a creeper .... a camera makes an unmistakable sound up close and I am 2 inches from the phone and can clearly hear his camera going off and he's trying to tell me it's the rain outside. After fumbling with his phone while his hands are shaking really bad he shuts it off then holds it up to my ear and says "see no noise" .... Wtf? ....

Now he is saying via text that it was a 'field test running'. He's going to check with the developer and get back to me .... ??? Developer of what the phone ? He said he never heard the camera going off because he is hard of hearing. He knew enough to fumble with the phone with his shaking hands and when he finally got it to stop he put it up to my ear and said 'see - no sound' ... I should have grabbed it from him and accidentally dropped it in the toilet ! What a coincidence that it was propped up facing the bed.

-I would bet the guy with the boom mic, the lighting guy and the one holding the cue cards are also clues that someone may be filming you. -

I don't think this post was meant for random sarcasm. It's about violation of people's privacy. Not a chance to feed your ego by making fun of the situation.

I once went to a date and I had my phone in my shirt pocket. I thought nothing of it except it was an easy way to carry my phone and allowed easy access, until she gently picked it out of my pocket and handed it to me saying she just wanted to make sure it was off. The way she did it was nice and smooth and didn't chill the mood at all. Now I make sure my phone is out of sight so there is no chance of anyone mistaking that I might be taking photos.

Respect ought to go both ways

And let me say a big THANK YOU to the Mods for taking care of the nasty piece of work RESPONSIBLE for the random sarcasm! The PSA Forum exists to keep EVERYONE safe, and as such, ought to be regarded, IMNSHO, should be monitored to prevent people using it abusively, be it escort or client!

I'm so sorry this happened to you! Thanks for posting your experience, though. Going to enforce even stricter cell phone etiquette now.
Yea, I think all the ladies should make "put your phones away" as part of etiquette.

OK FOLLOW UP TO THIS THREAD .... This fellow has contacted me again and now says he can re-create the scenario which sounded like his phone taking pictures. He said it was his phone had not closed down and was continually trying to contact a machine and that he had propped his phone up against his wallet coincidentally which is something he always does ... ? I am going to meet with him to see if he can re-create this and will update the thread. I may owe him an apology (or not ... had he shown me his phone like I asked him to at the time).

My advice for what it's worth... Don't waste your time. An Android or iPhone dev can make an app to do anything they want. Doesn't have to be in the App Store. (That said they can also make camera apps that don't make noise if they wanted.) If the guy is a techie he could easily fake a sound alike after the fact. The behaviour you described first (nervous fumbling) and the suspicious propping up of the phone sounds too convincing.

Edit to add: and if he knew what it was why did he lie first and say it was the stereo, and only change his story after you figured out it was his phone?

This guy was an amateur, and guilty as hell IMHO! I believe an even bigger problem is the easy availability of professional spy cam type equipment at cheap prices. Hours of high quality recording in an alarm clock or pen or ??? for $200.00 or so. SP's doing outcalls to hotels especially have likely been targeted, lots of time to set up a perfect hiding spot with the ultimate angle, so to speak. There are detection solutions, both software and hardware. Not sure if I can link out on this forum so...try googling "Hidden Camera Detector App" for Iphones and "Stealth Camera Lens Finder" for a more better, albeit more expensive solution. My two cents!

I know right ... I asked him to show me his home screen and he absolutely WOULD NOT ! He kept fumbling with the phone and turning away from my field of vision and then would show me a few files of pictures .... but he is trying to make it right so it's confusing. Does anyone know if a phone makes a sound identical to a camera when it's trying to 'connect' to a machine ? I am the worlds most technologically challenged person so I don't even know what that means ...

You just gave him enough time to make that phone do whatever he wants. The pictures have long since been transferred via ITOONS (sic) to another drive. The evidence is long gone!

Sorry to hear that happened to you. I had a similar experience out of province with a client filming our session, I said I was keeping the phone and told him to get the out. He barely had his pants on running out the front door lol. I am very aware of any electronics and no cell phones are permitted to be out in open now, just in the bedroom.

The only sound you'd hear, was if a device was being plugged into the USB port of a computer. That noise you do hear when that happens is when the computer recognized the device. Phones don't make that sound on their own.
Thank you for your information. The sound was exactly what my camera sounds like on my phone but it was going over and over and over at very quick intervals ... he wants to meet with me to reproduce the sound to prove it wasn't him taking pictures but I'm going to decline as this won't prove anything. It's phones are put away from now on no matter what.

Sorry to hear about this bullshit that was dropped on you- I agree that you should just avoid this idiot, or maybe just have a good "friend" with you if you do meet up.
I must be a real naïve SOB- It's never even crossed my mind to try and sneak photos or video surreptitiously during a session. I've had SPs ask me if I WANTED to take pics, but that's a completely different scenario. Whenever I've visited an SP I've always made a point of turning the ringer off in their presence, so as to not be disturbed, then just laid the phone next to my keys, glasses etc. on the dresser or night stand. Now I know why I've sometimes gotten a bit of a look from the provider with my phone in plain site of the activities. In the future I'll be more cautious about this, and be sure the provider is at ease.
Some fucking guys, eh?
