A person contacted me via text asking how much would 3 days consecutively with 2 hours booked each day followed by a 4th day 2 hour business lunch cost. I give him the price quote and he/she/it responds that they will be prepaying in check via their business associate host so that it can be cashed before the appointment which isn't due till the 4th of Feb (boy! They like to make these scams complicated don't they?) So of course that means that they want my real name and address etc so they can mail it to me (oh brother!) Needless to say I declined and asked them to not contact me further or I would notify the police. Pm me for the full number which appears to be a Chicago number? 312-775-2--9

If it's not a scam to get your name and number, that cheque, if cashed close to the date day, would not have enough time to clear and could easily bounce. Free is not good for you.

I have had requests from gentlemen who were planning a visit here. Each time, the request begins with a professional e-mail introduction, some details about who they are, where they're coming from, why they'll be visiting Vancouver, etc, etc, etc...this then follows with phone calls and text exchanges prior to the visit.

Scammers like the group that reached out to you think ladies have nothing better to do than entertain their stupid requests, no different than the Nigerian (and other) spam e-mails, offering us found money! Sadly, I know that some people do get lured into believing such offers, and I suppose that's why they're still out there, trying to find new ways in to potential markets.

Good on you for ignoring their stupid game!
