For what it's worth, there used to be a high track in Edmonton. It comprised about several blocks in downtown, northeast of 97 St and Jasper Ave in an area known as Boyle Street. But it was eradicated around 2001 when the authorities "cleaned up the streets" for the World Track & Field Championships. As a result, most of these SWs either quit the biz or left the city. I'm sure some ended up joining local MPs, but I don't think an escort license can be acquired if there's a criminal record. Today, nothing left there but some trannies and a couple of hardcore mid-trackers, while the Boyle Street area is undergoing a gentrification process as the ancient hourly-rate hotels are being torn down in favor of new condominium developments.
You can take your chances with the low tracks along either 107 Ave or 118 Ave, but the recent murders and fears of a serial killer are likely resulting in a greater LE presence and fewer SWs.
