@the Meat Market!!!lol
I just got some disturbing news about this Persian guy with Tribal tattoo on his neck that is preying on "indy" SP's. He books them, brings over some buddies, rapes the woman steals their money, takes pictures and threatens the woman with public exposure if they come forward.

please be careful and check the peep hole before opening the door, follow all your security protocols to the letter.

if anyone has encountered this group of cowards and would like to report to me what happened, i could communicate any specific info about them to the police. your name would not need to be included.

again, please be extra vigilant in security right now.

love susie

Are there any identifying characteristics about his buddies too? Are they also Persian?

That's right. Fuck your privacy - in that aspect only. I'm not going to judge you for who you fuck and it IS my business that you ARE actually fucking other girls and not strangling them. If my safety and life aren't valuable enough to you that you can tell me a couple of the other people you fucked (that I know and have probably eaten lunch with at some point in my life), then you can go fuck yourself because I'd rather never encounter you in any walk of life, let alone let even touch me. Just because this is my job doesn't mean I don't have standards, and being treated like an ACTUAL human being is one :). I'm asking who you fucked before me, not your name, DOB, SIN and bank balance.

And that sucks for you, because I hear I'm quite fun ;)
Great response!!

This is why after so many years I still follow my security protocols!! So awful :(
First of all…. ?Its hard enough for u girls in this game as it is… With out goof persians ( or who ever) Acting up over shit like that… What happen to old school chivalry ?? guy treat women with respect…. Be it as it may.. ill girls r out there working… so what? prostitution has been around longer then any other trade in history… Back when grimy men rode horses and called them selves cowboys… before cars or roads even… there was saloons… and upstairs…. there was the sexy females holding it down for us men… guys need the reality check. how much more we need SP s then they pretend….. so hell with the last minute price batting attempts… any goof who dares intimidate a working girl or use aggressive behaviour to get what he should just be happy to pay for should be painfully tourchered… RAPEST r the scum of the earth.. there isn't any excuse for it… there're is no poor excuse as in its a metal desise… its plain deranged….. had to add my two cents u ladies be safe

I have suggested this before. I think we should set up an email-alert for sp's so that news like this could be sent out to everybody on the list immediately. Sort of like the Amber Alert.
Forums like this and Ladies Lounges are great, but not everybody is a member, not everybody reads craigslist....

Maybe, some of the tech-savvy guys could do us a favour and set it up and it could be advertised on every board so as many women as possible could sign up.
That is a great idea Anita!!!

I'm thinking about taking a crack at this but I need to think about the best way to implement it. There are a bunch of gotchas to doing it right that I need to consider.

so, this is a good idea. i am a member of some "list's" with regard to advocacy and they are pretty effective for mobilizing people or getting a message out quickly...

they need to be moderated and for people to feel safe posting they need to feel its confidential.

people are fearful after being the victim of a crime and are often afraid they will experience backlash for reporting.

this is difficult to achieve as has been demonstrated by breaches of confidentiality in the past....

perhaps if the info were submitted to a central poster.... like a team who receive all the complaints and then send them out to the list. this way the origin of the complaint has a layer of confidentiality for the person reporting....

kind of like what i did in this thread i guess...

we really need a central support center. so that when reports are received we can provide resources, etc, counseling to people affected.

this work falls under the province and victims services. they are not funding anything in recent times. they did fund the "411" victim's right's and information sheet and some work we did on CPTSD. (complex post traumatic stress disorder). we really need specialized services without judgement. anyone who has ever tried to access support as a sex worker can tell you, its pretty harsh....not always, especially these days...things are changing.

anyway, i am off topic.

we could write a letter of invitation to the list once established and actively seek members from on-line spaces....we could set some terms of use and keep it strictly about reporting violence or other crimes against us..? no other mail/spam/etc?

what do people think? i definitly think we need a better way of reporting these things to the larger sex worker community...

A lot of those concerns are the gotchas I was thinking of. It really needs to be more than just a mailing list for it to be useful. It has to be protected against drama and abuse. That alone means it needs to be moderated and managed. It's one of those spots where I'm getting a bit stuck: this list is going to require a decent amount of trust between those joining it and those running it. I'm not sure someone like me can really engender that kind of trust on the manager side and quite frankly I'm not sure I want to open myself up to all the responsibility and liability.

It might be something that I help a group of the people in the industry facilitate but stay out of the day-to-day part of it. In the end the only thing I'm interested in doing is helping people be safer. I don't care about nor do I want to know the information that will be shared. I still have a lot to think about on this and probably some people to talk to as well.

but what about posts like the origional post in this thread. that wasn't in the news or reported to police....

that's where i am worried that confidentiality would prevent people from posting violent incidents. the centralized "team" approach could allow for that...

we would have to assume from the begining that outsiders had access and that there was no confidentiality....like in this forum. but reports could be made to the moderator and then posted by the team to protect an individual's safety...? does that make sense?
