Rude chinese waitresses-peaceful restaurant

I use to wonder if the restaurant was that great. Since everytime i walked by there's a lineup out the door. Today i decided to give it a try. I ordered 2 dishes for 2 people and told the waiter to leave the menu behind. The waitress snaps at us saying you only place one order and she doesnt have time for this nonsense. Since she said there's a lineup out the door. I thought about getting up and leaving. This waitress said youre just going to order two dishes? I said yes and if we're still hungry we'll go across the street to cactus club. Since she told us we're not allowed to keep a menu or order more food later on. Then she walks off calling me white trash(i understood because i grew up with cantonese/mandarin kids). I've gone to other asian restaurants and we're always allowed to order more food ...even if there's a lineup out the door.

I don't give a shit how good the food is, there's no call for that amount of rudeness.... I would have walked out, after making a scene, of course......

i don't take shit from waiters or waitresses. i once made a scene at the metro sui sha ya b/c the waitress was just being rude. scoffing at us, rolling her eyes, and just being a bitch. i made a huge order, then made my big scene, then stormed out. done and done.

Yes and the food isnt that special. You can find the same quality in richmond or some chinese restaurants on kingways

I concur with you SamGomez...that one lady that works there....older..never smiles...had the same reaction once. We were a table of 5 and weren't sure if had ordered enough so we wanted to keep the menu and maybe add some dishes later but she snapped the same way she did at a you BUT I am chinese....

I just think she needs to get laid...I sometimes wonder that older bitchier ladies just haven't had sex in awhile and that's why they are so grumpy and cranky....

across from Cactus Club,but there are many Cactus clubs..I think you should
name this place as a warning to others...I wouldn't go there

well,maybe I would.....to pore over the menu,ask the b...h for water,ask numerous
questions about food prep,msg,etc.etc......then walk out

Rudeness and poor service in a Chinese restaurant..................this should not be a shocker. This is the norm so get used to it. I myself, rarely go to Chinese restaurants.

I remember once ordering dim sum where you would mark on a piece of paper (order sheet) what dishes you wanted. For the most part what was ordered was brought to us. However, there was one dish (forget what it was something like chicken feet crap) we didn't order and we proceeded to tell the waitress kindly. She (FOB Mainland 40's woman) looked at the order sheet and said I' brought you what you ordered' and also muttered to herself in Cantonese how we were being 'troublesome'. In essence she didn't give a crap what we thought! My friend and I both looked at the order sheet and it clearly stated we didn't order it. Note: The order sheet was in both English and Chinese with boxes that you check off clearly defined - it wasn't rocket science here. The Manager seeing how she treated us and seeing how both my friend and I were confused when confirming the order sheet, took it upon himself to walk over to us and apologize for the incident and then went on to take care of the bill.
