It seems that my PERB account is set-up to automatically send me notices on my birthday.

Is there a way to shut this off ?

thanks,

So it is your birthday then?

Is that a hint?

Happy Birthday cruiser!:)
Thank you.....Funny you should ask...

I was at a friends place on New Years Eve and a few of us were looking at Facebook at old friends, etc. I was logged on under my name so I sent this one guy a message...we thought he would reply back ASAP because it said that he was last on 30 minutes ago.

I log back into my hotmail about 1/2 hour later (for any notifications from Facebook) and my friend is with me and says "you got an email..it looks like he saw your message and replied"...I look at my hotmail and it says "Happy Birthday from Vancouver Escort..." in the Subject Line. It was a message from PERB wishing me Happy Birthday. It wasn't a message from the guy on Facebook that we were hoping for!

I quickly deleted it but he saw that...I was in total shock. He saw something that I wasn't expecting. I said "I don't know what that is"..and he said "oh, I'm sure"...but didn't say much more because we were at a family gathering.

Now I don't know what to say if he ever brings it up...I see him about once a week.

Suggestions???

Invite him to the "brotherhood" so to speak and proceed to invite him to a MMF threesome to check that off your bucket list. Hey, might as well make something positive about the situation lol j/k

I don't know, I often wonder myself what I would do if someone I didn't want to know found out about my hobby. You could possibly go with "I was just curious and wanted to do some research on the "hobby" but never did have the balls to go through with seeing an SP." That might fly but more importantly would be to judge what his reaction is to that and kind of just go from there.

It is a bit of a sticky situation for you I do admit, good luck.

PS: I'm willing to bet that half the guys who see this thread are going into profile to check their mail settings lol

Weird, I created an email account just for this site. I don't like surprises.

I was wondering why you would have used your regular email account for signing up to perb or email the girls with. I would suggest that you quickly go get yourself a new email address that you use for hobby purposes only and that you never let your browser remember the password and id (in case someone ever uses your computer)

It's a hotmail account that I use...I had totally forgot that I had PERB linked to it.

I'm sure that other people are also checking their mail settings....

He would never go for a MMF....he's a pretty straight guy.....and he gets serviced quite frequently by his wife...so he would never have a need to go looking for additional service.

Hmmm...time will tell....

This one almost got me in shit too. Very dangerous function that should be set to 'off' upon registration. I dont need a birthday wish from the site, let alone in ALL CAPS!

It appears I used a really old hotmail account. I don't know if it is even active anymore. Am I required to update it if that is the case?
I am unaware of any requirements to update old email addresses. I don't think it will be necessary.

will agree completely with your statement..

Moderators - can we change the default setting on this one item to "off" unless the user wants to change it themselves?

It must be done manually.

One thread that I created but need to resurrect.

After creating this question about receiving emails from PERB, I went into the Forum section and MADE SURE that I had UNCHECKED the necessary boxes so that PERB would not send me any more emails. I double-checked and felt satisfied that I had done everything correctly.

Lo and Behold, I open my hotmail account today and there is an email from PERB saying that my INBOX was full. (it is full and I then went and deleted to open up space).

My POINT...PERB is STILL sending me emails. I thought that since I had UNCHECKED everything, it wouldn't send anymore.

Can someone fill me in and tell me why? So if a persons INBOX becomes full (and they unchecked for receiving emails from PERB), they will still receive them?

Can someone explain this?

thanks,
Cruiser
