................have you got it done, or do you even bother anymore ? The only kids in my life are all past believing in Santa, so it just becomes a matter of give me, give me. Thankfully there is only the one that I sort of feel obligated to get something for, the others are old enough to buy their own crap. It just seems to get more commercial every year, and the kids just get more demanding, or maybe I'm just getting to old for this shit. How about you ?

There are only a few kids and one adult on my list that I feel the love to spend time actually getting out and choosing a gift for. And they are done, nothing fancy. Kids' gifts are easy to decide on. Adult gifts are more challenging. Thank god I'm only buying for one and it is done after much back and forth.

I only buy for kids. Kids are easy to buy for. You ask them what they want. They list out what they want.
You pick something off that list price appropriate, ask the parents if noone else is buying that for them, then get it.
Kid is happy every time.

I find buying for adults kind of pointless. Everyone trades a bunch of stuff, that would don't really want or need. Thousands of dollars that could have just been saved, and used on something for yourself at your leisure.

My best friend and I still buy each other stuff. We used to go all out but have scaled things back in recent years. I'm getting a toaster oven, he's getting a $50 gift card to Best Buy. The rest is just a few things for the family. Nothing too big. I find the best gift you can give to people is cash in their pocket :)

Yup all done except a few small things I want to give as gifts. I even got my Secret Santa gift mailed to the USA and it may make it on time. :D

Here and There
My sister and I agreed long ago to buy gifts for the other that we wanted for ourselves. We'd unwrap em together then turn around and hand em back to each other.

Now I just hand my mother a bunch of money and a list of people I wanna send a present to. this works out better as I tend to send things people could use instead of things they want (really dad more chrome for your bike?! I know it's technically a Harley but really it's a rolling armchair geizer glide) which apparently wrong. All I need and want is another bottle of rum and carton of egg nog. Boy do I wish I was back at work.

I kept it small this year but did all of my shopping online. most places even offer to ship it in a gift box so I don't even have to wrap it :)
as you know vanessa, i'm not usually one to butter up the ladies on the board (lol); however, i do have to say that ever since you put that santa pic in your sig, i find myself screeching to a halt every time i happen to be scrolling by it... that is one DISTURBING photograph - i mean in a GOOD way!  :eyebrows: :D :thumb:
