Check out and Ecco store. Casual and dress shoes are stylish IMHO.

This one sounds like the shoe you are after:

http://www.eccocanada.com/turn-510034.html

We sound like we have the same feet with a narrow heal and a longer foot.

I have had such great success with Ecco that I now can buy off eccocanada.com my desired size and they fit me every time. Never had to return a pair ever. Most of the time they have free shipping too.

Sports: a variety of black coloured Nikes (I have too many)

Jeans: a variety of casual black leather slip-ons (Ecco or Rockports are my most commonly worn ones). Others are a little edgy/unusual with subtle accent design.

Suits: shoes vary on type of suit but most of them are leather slip ons. My faves are S. Ferragamo and Hugo Boss.

Summer: for years I've always worn the similar wardrobe attire like that of Charlie Sheen in Two and a Half Men. Designer cargo shorts with a bold graphic short sleeve shirt. Dark coloured deck shoes (Helly Hanson, Ralph Lauren or Sperrys) are always worn with low ankle white coloured socks.

I just purchased 5 pairs of Allen Edmonds shoes. 4 pairs dress, 1 pair casual. They are rebuildable, so hopefully they'll last the next 10 years.

They seem to be pretty comfortable. I do like them as well. In addition, those cool-looking Ferragamo and Cole Haan loafers are definitely a must for me. Been wearing Cole Haan and Bass since my Grade School days and the quality hasn't changed.

I love converse(all kinds but mostly chucks) and I wear soft leather knee high doc martin boots regularly(buckles all the way up).. I haven't found any docs more comfortable than them.. And almost always platform heels/boots while working. ;)

I owned one pair of Bass back when I was a tween. Had them resoled once. Wore them everywhere and I wrecked the uppers by wearing them in the winter snow.

I noticed a change in the leather of the Cole Haan shoes when they moved from the U.S. to Mexico. The ones made in Mexico have stiffer leather and didn't hold the polish. They've never been resoled because I used sole protectors. I'm retiring them because some of them squeak and are 15 years old, which is why I replaced them with the Allen Edmonds shoes. Allen Edmonds does not use a steel shank, so they won't squeak.

Ferragamo is out of my price range.

I have through so many shoes, boots, etc. in my life. Started in the sixties during Beatlemania, they came out with those black (I guess you would call them small platform shoes) with the pointed toes and higher heels. Been through a cowboy boot phase (not recomended for a Sask winter), HushPuppies, hikers, etc.

Couple of years ago I bought 2 pair of shoes (pretty sure it was Shoe Warehouse) on a 2 for 1. I had only worn theses shoes 6 or 7 times. I wore a pair to work the Federal Election and the pair I was wearing F*#KING FELL APART. Literally. I had to drag my foot to keep the piees together (aboout 4 of them).

Yes i did the loafers with Velcro straps too they were comfy shoes ..
And through the years i have gone through piles of work boots that all way were my favorites .. and could not get another pair .

just ordered a pair of luxury rebel boots I am very excited about. 1579579-p-DETAILED.jpg

in general I am pretty casual about my shoes when I am not doing anything special, I kick around in shox, I have a few pairs of fairly entertaining looking hightops, and I live in flip flops all summer. When I wear heels, I tend to wear a 4" stiletto with a slight platform (3/4" of an inch or less) and I go with high end designers like Escada, Dsquared2, Louis whenever I am buying sort of a staple item womans shoe in a classic style that I intend to have for a long time, when I buy shoes to match a certain outfit or because they are trendy and I think they will be out of style in no time I go with L.A.M.B, Bcbg, Kors, and the like.
