i've never been much of an apple person, especially when it comes to the iphone. being a techie, i've always just found it so basic and cookie-cutterish. always felt apple could do so much more with it, but they can't because they risk alienating their key demo of buyers. ie the not-so-techie but want to be cool with a smartphone people. of course this doesn't apply to all iphone users, but it does to the majority imo. oooh, i feel the daggers already on me. lol.

i remember when there was all the build up the iphone 5, but they ended up launching the 4s. i actually found it really funny b/c apple kinda jerked around their consumers b/c they know they can, and people will still buy their stuff regardless as it's now a niche product. anyway, friend of mine was trying to explain why the 4s was so much better than the 4, and all i could do was laugh. i understood exactly what he was saying and no doubt it's a better phone. as he kept hitting me with all the new specs, i asked him an innocent question. "do u honestly believe the majority of iphone users know about or even understand specs?" ya, he went quiet on that one for a minute then said "true that." lol.

that all being said, whatever phone makes u happy power to u. for me, the upcoming galaxy nexus is giving me a major hard on. for reals yo!!

I just wish I could find a cell phone that does absolutely nothing but make phone calls. Everything else is lost on me.

I just watched that video, and without a doubt, that phone is incredible in comparison to the iphone4 I have at this moment. That doesn't mean i'm going to run out and buy it though. I'd be too broke to do anything if i kept buying a new phone cause I liked the features on it. I upgraded from my BB Torch to the 4 cause I wanted a smartphone that I was able to put some use into and my old iphone 3g wasn't going to cut it. The camera was a on par with my old BB Torch as well, so a nice bonus. In hindsight, I should have tried an android instead. The reason why I love the iphone4 so much that makes me not want to change is because of its simplicity. Anybody can use it, and I don't have to explain or guide people on how to make a phone call with it. Using apps or finding the app on the iphone is almost too easy, and you cant mess it up. I'm not into technology now as much as I was before, and at the end of the day, it has to be able to make a phone call, everything else is a bonus. If I absolutely had to, I can switch back to a normal phone, and it would not affect me one bit.

Blackberry on the other hand, I hated everything about it except for the push email feature. I got used to it, but all it did was make a phone call as the apps were too expensive to justify. It was also difficult to use at best, and did things I didn't want it to.
