Good for Bieksa, but really - they were on the verge of dumping him until Salo got injured, he filled in and had a rebound season.

That one season allows him to cash in big time, but don't count on him being as good ever again.

When Salo goes down again (and not in a good way) and KB's minutes go up look for him to revert to the old Kevin.

My guess is he'll be gone in two seasons max.

he got a no-trade clause so he's here for the full 5. salo may not even be here next year. we'll see what happens with erhoff.

Jeezus - now they've signed LaPierre for two years.

They're doing there best to keep my curse in place.

Lapierre 2 years 2 million

Qualifying offers sent to him, Hansen, and Oreskovitch.
Sweatt, Bliznack, and Shirokov were not sent qualifying offers.

Team is going to look very similar next year.

The Ducks have Perry Ryan Getlalzf but a very leaky D. How about we trade one of the Sedins and Elder for Getlazf and George Parros?

Getlazf can play a pounding game.

Bieksa stepped up big time during the playoff series when there were so many injuries. Also, he can fight quite well!

He played OKAY during the playoffs...he wasn't amazing...

Just another overpaid asshole athelete...and another reason not to buy anything Canucks related...

The Canucks got too greedy when they had PPV during the regular season years ago. Thats when they lost me, team corporate.

Checked his stats and he got 21 or 22 points ...the same as the previous year but more 10 games played. Good for him he signed for so long and for so much. Not sure this is any good for gillis & the canucks future.

YAY! My crush.......so glad that he had an awesome year, and got signed with a good payout.

I loved watching him this year.

I would ultimately like to see him nekkid.

Give Bieksa credit knowing why he had such a good year and not making the same mistake as Anson Carter.
Playing with Dan Hamhus they just seemed to work so well together.
Now if only Vancouver could find the second coming of Donald Brashear.

a big part of why he played well was dan hamhuis. when hamhuis went down bieksa wasn't nearly as effective.

as for lapierre he'll be the 4th line center so no big deal there. be interesting to see if they re-up torres for the 3rd line again. him and malholtra had some chemistry in the regular season along with hansen. lot of talk about getting a top 6 forward to compliment kesler, which says that one of raymond or samuellson may be the odd man out. and where does hodgson fit? his stock seems to plummet more every year since he was drafted as the supposed next big thing.

I'd get rid of Raymond for sure.....kid couldn't score in a whore house!
Ya, Raymond is lame as hell...he can skate like the wind, but that is it...Kesler, Burrows, Sam, ...etc carried the guys points for too long...

Sorry he broke his back, but time to pull the plug on this hockey queen!
