I have a family member who's on their plan and borrowed their cellphone a few times. The reception is great if you angle your phone towards a window. If you are in a room with very few windows or thick walls then you're in trouble with very little reception. There's a few times im laying down trying to talk on the cell and no reception at all. But soon as i stood up angle my phone near the window the reception is great. Pacific centre mall food fair i got no bars no reception at all. With fido i can pretty much use it anywhere except for inside the elevator or 3-4 levels underground parkade. Maybe your experience might be different. Im grateful however wind came along since they lowered the pricing of the big 3. However i realize most cellphone probably start off with shitty reception when they enter some market.

i thought this was just my experience but read some forums some other peop experience the same thing. I have one year at 30.00/month with fido still, talk anytime(incalls&outcalls),text, voicemail, callid and can cancel anytime with fido(all this thanks to wind). Maybe in a year their reception will improve.

i'm glad wind is around as well to give competition to the big 3, but after scoping out their plans it doesn't make sense to switch from my fido plan. it's cheaper with them and it fits my needs.

ages ago i heard t-mobile was gonna crack into canada, but it didn't happen. would love to have them here!! they have great plans.

The only thing which matters is my reception. I dont even care if the phone has no internet, text, voicemail etc. Would suck ass if i get drop calls or cant use it to call in case of emergency.
