Sorry, but the Christian Broadcasting Network is not a credible source of anything whatsoever. Pat Robertson also believed that Katrina was sent by god to punish residents of New Orleans for their libertine ways.

Even if that particular report is factually accurate -- unlikely, given its source -- North America is not about to be overrun by Muslim culture or religion. Our "guest workers" come primarily from Mexico and other Catholic countries like the Philippines. I am more worried about being overrun by the types of people behind CBN, and being turned into a Christian theocracy.

The biggest terrorist plot in Canada was carried out by Sikh extremists; the second-largest in the US by extremist anti-federal government types with white-power affiliations. But carry on with the paranoia about Muslim immigrants, and enjoy the 700 Club viewpoint of the world.

I dont care who produced it , I was in Europe last spring and was amazed at the changes and the overwhelming presence of the Islam .
It was the ho hum attitude like yours that got Europeans into this situation. And most are now changing their colours.
Islam is not just a religion but also politically driven. There is no leader or head of the church like the pedophile pope.
All religion should be banned , but lets start with islam. History repeats itself and the day will come when we see Mosques being burnt here and in europe .
I love mexicans and wish there were more of them rather than the FOTB's.

An interesting article appeared today on Barry Rubin's blogsite about an English (woman) convert to Islam who was sentenced today to fifteen years for setting up a (friendly) meeting with a British MP and then stabbing him twice in an attempt to murder him for his stance on Iraq. The judge said that had she actually murdered the MP, he would have sentenced her to life with no chance of parole. The English woman was considered perfectly sane. She was undeterred by the sentence and said that she did what was needed to be done in defence of Islam. The judge spoke articulately about the history of Great Britain and its Christian foundation. To date, it appears that the UK is the one European nation which has capitulated to both Islam and the Muslim population within its borders (see Melanie Phillips and her book, "Londonstan").

In France, the burka has been (or just about to be) banned in public places. The same concern has now been recognized in Belgium and in certain cities in Spain. In Switzerland, no further building of minarets is allowed. Most evidently, a political rightwing party with a good deal of electoral strength with concern about the takeover of Swedish life by its Muslim population (see the city of Malmo) has arisen in Sweden. And even more to the point, Geert Wilders, a Dutch parliamentarian, heads a rightwing party which opposes the further immigration of Muslims and has declared its concern about the future of the country in light of the (alien) Muslim population. It was a Muslim who slew a Dutch cinemast by the name of Van Gogh (relative to Vincent) because of his portrayal of Islam. A Danish cartoonist has been threatened because of his published cartoons of Mohammed. Recall the decade long fatwah against Salmon Rushdie, Muslim novelist residing in the UK, for his portrayal of Mohammed. It is increasingly obvious that Muslims do not share our (Western) democratic views, our irreverance and our upholding of free speech rights. The Muslim population within each western European country are increasingly being viewed as foreign and alien residents. We, in Canada, remain complacent even in view of the Khadr family and the Toronto 18. In another thread, begun by Bijou, the standpoint of western Canadians (if representative) such as Ray, Hank Quinlan and Bijou is what I refer to as people so in love with their bubbleheaded liberalism, so enmeshed, that they cannot, and refuse to view the very growing threats right in front of their faces. But then, self-deception is a common human flaw.

Well, sure then. Demonstrate to me how Canadian Muslims are a greater threat to me and my beliefs than Pat Robertson or Sarah Palin and their followers in this country.

I tried one of those Double Downs from KFC this week. I liked it. I am 100% sure that represents a much greater threat to my health and safety than a terrorist of any kind.

And I would be more than happy to ban every kind of religion and religious-based views from public life, and to tax church-held property on the same basis as that of any other organization.

So the new mayor of Calgary is obviously a threat to our way of life as well?
You are an intelligent man, Hank, so it's obvious that you are deliberately trying to obfuscate when you bring up the new mayor's name. As to Pat Robertson and Sarah Palin, as much as you may dislike or disagree with them, they are not homegrown terrorists and they do not promote terrorism. Try making an argument that befits the subject instead of arguments aimed at distracting.

Just in: Al-Queda in Yemen admits to being responsible for the past three air bomb parcels in UPS airlines, including the first which actually downed the airplane and killed two pilots plus the recent last one in which the packages were intended to be sent to two synagogues in the USA. Fine fellows, these terrorists whom you defend, Hank. See Ynet for the full account.

Sorry, but you are the one who labeled all Muslims as against our way of life....I quoted you in context.

Nowhere have I ever defended terrorists; they are scum no matter what their motivation. What I refuse to give in to is fear of something that is very minor on my threat list. I don't care if Pat Robertson is not a "terrorist" -- I perceive him and his ilk as a genuine threat.

Any Canadian Muslim I have ever interacted with has been less annoying than a Jehovah's Witness, and wasted less of my time.

So continue to be afraid, and don't worry about any of the many issues in this country which are actually important. WE ARE NOT EUROPE.

If Omar Kadhr kills me when he gets out on parole, then you can say "I told you so."

The problem with Canadians is that, like you, they are well insulated from global realities. As a result of their insulation and faux liberalism, they refuse to see what's right in front of them and, if they do, will not acknowledge it.
