...I would be remiss if I didn't advertise my items here. I just slugged through kijiji.ca and posted up a few things I won't need from my construction days. Actually, it was seamless and well done. I am a kijiji fan.

Having said that, if anyone on this board is local to edmonton...and wants some good tools...it behooves you to take a peek. I offer a full "buyers remorse" refund if you wish...I just don't negotiate price. Items are priced accordingly. When I sell something, I want a minimum of fuss and a fond memory. If it is not what you want, don't buy it. Pretty simple.

kindest,

eddie.

p.s....I won't list all the ads...that would be foolish. I think...no, I am pretty sure, there is a clicky thing to see "all other" ads by this poster. That would be the one to click. Don't get me wrong, I do want to sell this stuff....it's a good deal for someone.

ohhhh....crap....there is nothing up yet. Apparently it takes a while. Oh well, I will update this tomorrow....surely it can't take longer than that.

yay...finally. The items are available for viewing, that was wierd to take so long, I guess they wanted to make sure I wasn't selling items or services of a sexual nature. In any event, the first item is at http://edmonton.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-tools-equipment-Bostich-F28WW-Nailer-W0QQAdIdZ198617404

Well, I am not sure if that is the first item or not, it matters little I suppose. For the rest of the crap, just click on "view other poster ads" or whatever the verbage is at the top right of the screen.

As for Pippin files, sold out. As for miscellenous and sundry items, lots of those just didn't bother to advertise them.

kindest,

eddie.

I am keeping my wrenches....a good set of wrenches is like a fine woman....you get what you pay for and they never let you down when you need them the most. I have some mighty fine wrenches. Besides, you never know when some wing nut is going to get loose on you, always good to have that wrench around.

Having said all that, I am just in from out of town and sifted through various replies....and have sold three items...so, it's kind of cool. It's wierd what sold though, I had expected the other stuff to go first....oh well...I am trying to save up for my new Tran Send bicycle...it's a commutie beauty.

all items gone...thank you Kijiji and perb. Although, I don't think I met a pooner or SP...mind you that one chick who bought the sander.....could have been. She was funny, happy, and pretty hot looking too. But, that's beside the point. I ran into a variety of interesting people during that process....i think of the guy who bought the Bosch radio for his garage...I advised him...well, if it's just a garage you want it for, it might be more than you need. Perhaps a good used Sony rig would do even better? He said..."no, I am a fan of cubes"....sold.

But, the best deal and the one that leaves me with a smile...is the following email exchange with the eventual purchaser of my beloved nail gun. For reference purposes, note that my ad stated..."all items are priced for sale. If you feel the need to haggle, please do so eloquently". His initial reply was extremely eloquent...and fucking funny too. I will paste the submission...and my subsequent reply....details deleted to protect the innocent.

Well here goes my attempted eloquence.

xxxx, here in central Alberta, we are blessed by the most beautiful sunrises of pure filtered gold. As the rays imbed themselves into various and sundry objects throughout the yard my thoughts are whisked away to a wonderous land where I am the proud owner of a Bostich F28WW framing nailer. As the sun's warmth creeps into my old (well, getting there) bones I watch in my mind's eye as I build an extension to my house where my spritely three-year old will sleep, although never for long enough it seems. I see garages and sheds being framed to house tools, lawn implements, firewood and vehicles that currently are homeless, sitting like men without a place to live, covered by tarps to ward off the pounding rain.

The sun's warmth now fades as it is covered by a dark cloud of reality. This dream will not come to fruition as I cannot afford a $150 framing nailer.

However, I could convince the Minister of Finance in my house to approve a $100 expenditure for a Bostich F28WW framing nailer.

So I ask you xxxx, will my dream die with you, or will you pass the power of an air actuated nail gun on to a new generation of handyman?

xxxxxx

So, I was simply compelled by laughter and sheer delight to reply with....

Well, afer I stop laughing....I will formulate my reply.

First off, thank you. I am usually confronted with a variety of typo laden emails with the likes of "wuld u seell it for $120?"....however, I must say, this is the first email that actually evoked a rather large smile. So, for you and your 3 year old, not to mention the dreaded Minister of Finance, I would be willing to let it go not for $100...but, rather for $90.00.

It's a good gun and it will enjoy having a home it can enjoy. I have some air tool oil and some odd bits of strip nails that you can have too....I don't think I will be needing them anytime soon.

cheers,
xxxx xxx.xxx.xxxx

The deal is done, the gun is gone, and it's in good hands. Thanks again kijiji and perb.

cheers,

eddie.
