Hi Kevin101

Protected daty is when you have a protective barrier between your mouth and the woman’s genitals.

People use a number of different items for this such as dental dams, cut condoms/gloves or plastic wrap (Saran Wrap).

Have a look at this link to the sexualityandu website where they discuss dental dams, how to cut a condom and information about plastic wrap.
http://www.sexualityandu.ca/adults/sti-4.aspx

There still is a lot of discussions on the web about using plastic wrap (saran wrap). I have not been able to find any studies about its use’s but it seems that it is a lot better than nothing and is easy to find.

The other thing you will find on the web is that you should use a non microwaveable type of plastic wrap. Current thinking is that it doesn’t matter what type of plastic wrap you use because the pores that are in the microwaveable type only open up when they get really hot (temperature hot).

dental dams...awkward?

I can imagine alot of clients getting offended if I were to put on a dental dam. How would I use it without being offensive

Most clients will/should understand that it's for your protection. Simply explain that you don't feel comfortable with unprotected daty, but you are still willing to allow play, just with a dental dam. I'm sure if you are polite they will understand.
