stay away from FM
I used to go there on a weekly basis.
Until !
On this particular evening, I went there, and the last time I went I asked for an O'Doul's, sans alcohol beverage. This time they had one, I said sure, that will be fine. When the most homely waitress, who would bite you, came back, said that it is considered an import, and it will be 7 dollars. I thought about it for a few seconds, and knowing that they are usually no more then 3 bucks, at other places, I said I am not paying 7 for that. If it was 4, then i would of agreed.
So now we have a waitress showing attitude, all pissy now because she kept complaining about how she has to dump it out and pay for it out of her pocket. She takes off and after a few minutes comes back saying her manager told her you have to buy a drink. I told her that I stopped drinking for a bit, and really would like water, I was not planning on staying too long. And besides I already paid 6 dollar cover charge as well.
One time on entrance, I was hassled by the door man , to give the cover charge lady a tip, I said no and maybe on the way out.
Getting obvious here isn't it. what this place is about. Thats fine, but do it in a tactful manner, not a greedy harassing manner.
Anyway, after the last encounter, and the bouncer eye balling the situation, I decided to leave, and I did. On the way out i told the waitress that she is welcomed for the beer, have one on me. I eye balled the bouncer the whole way out, just to ensure that he didn't have other plans, like personal intimidation of my person.
They had bottled water for 1 dollar, which I would of gladly bought, if it was mentioned at the time of the encounter. this waitress was new, and had blonde hair that hid her pock marked and scarred face. Not the most kind, energetic tactful and graceful woman, thats for sure.
Summary
Harassed at door for tip money from bouncer.
Poor performance of waitress, poor customer relationship and consideration.
No lap dancing or private shows, like it was in the 80's with Club 17, on 4th Street and 17 ave West.
No consideration for the people who chose not to drink alcohol beverages.
