I'm curious about female condoms. I've seen them on the shelves in pharmacies in the USA, but I've never seen them up close or experienced it in a session

For one thing, I'd find it a huge turn-on just to slip dickie in when ready, without any lag time or worrying if the (regular male) condom is on properly or otherwise. Psychologically, I know I'd be feeling it would be more of a GFE-like experience and I may even fantasize that we're being very intimate, as in bareback.

And for the lady, they wouldn't have to worry about "accidental" condom slippage. I think they'd also have a happier male partner or client.

I have posted this in the Health Information forum to get the medical perspective. For Health Nurse: Do female condoms protect the female and male from std's equally ? How much do they cover... up to the urethra and/or clitoris?

I'm also posting this in the Lounge to get feedback from the ladies and guys, from all angles.

Hi Solman

Female condoms are licensed for use in Canada and are very effective in protection from sexually transmitted infections and pregnancy.

I have met people who really like these because of what you have mentioned. If the woman has it in beforehand you can just move straight to sex instead of putting the male condom on.

I have found the female condom good for men who have some difficulties with erections as well. Men may have enough of an erection to have sex but may experience problems when they go to put the male condom on.

Also the sensation is different with female condoms as you are putting your penis in a warm moist place instead of having it in a male condom.

Here is a web site that shows you how to use the female condom.

We have the female condom for free at our main clinic on 12th ave and Bute Street if anyone wants to try them out.

Thanks, Health Nurse!

That's a great link to that site showing how to put on the female condom. It doesn't look as complicated as the other write-ups by some other sp's here.

And when you say, "Also the sensation is different with female condoms as you are putting your penis in a warm moist place instead of having it in a male condom" , wow, what horny guy wouldn't say "no" to that? I think I'm now inclined to look for an experience like this.
